  • The Process


    unbank.ventures will be selecting 8 early stage FinTech companies to join its second class in the fall of 2016. This class will consist of a combination companies in San Francisco & companies that will attend virtually.


    We are seeking companies who are focused on RegTech, InsuranceTech, Real EstateTech, Big Data Solutions and Blockchain Technology


    Applications open on October 30 and will close on December 5. Selected companies will be notified by December 20th.


    The program will run from January 15, 2017 through March 12, 2017.



    The program is a 8 week program that focuses on 3 core pillars. These pillars are:

    • Marketing & Sales Traction
    • Corporate Partnerships
    • Accelerator/Investor

    The goal of our program is to guide you to one of the following outcomes.

    1. Acceptance to a top rated accelerator
    2. Corporate partnership or pilot.
    3. Seed to A Venture Capital Investment





    We are building a global community of FinTech Founders and supporters.


    Our goal is to continue to support our founders in the next step in their entrepreneurial journey. This support will come in the form of continued advisory, introductions to investors and the community we are building.

  • Program Structure




    In this 8 week program we will cover 3 core topics. These topics are marketing & sales traction, partnering with corporations and investment. Each week the cohort will meet in the San Francisco office or virtually for remote teams. A presenter will present a short presentation on the weekly topic followed by a facilitator led cohort discussion.

    3 Metrics That Matter

    At unbank.ventures we work with our companies to develop 3 key metrics that will drive the company to the next milestone. Each week the companies will present their traction to the cohort, receive feedback and request help.

    Weekly Assignments

    Each week you will be given an assignment that corresponds with the weekly topic. These will be customized assignments that correspond to the company's 3 Key Metrics and program goals.


    Unlike other programs we will not distract you with a parade of mentors. You will work with 1-3 mentors over the course of the program. The main goal of these mentors will be to ensure that you are staying on track with your 3 key metrics and weekly assignments. Supplemental mentors and resources will be brought in on a special case basis.

    Our goal is to build a world class accelerator program. The only way we can accomplish that goal is by selecting, educating and connecting our companies with the resources they need to be successful. Our goals are fully aligned with our companies and we seek to be authentic in everything we do. With that said the success of your company will be largely up to you and we will do everything we can to get you there.


    Who Is This Program For

    This program is for hustlers building innovative FinTech companies and products. . We are looking to work with founders and companies that are willing to put in the work and take big risks. We provide access, advisory and connections. The rest is up to you.

    Program Costs

    Companies have a choice of paying a $500 program or giving .5% equity in our company. We believe this is a very low cost for the advisory, education and connections we provide for our companies.

    Does unbank.ventures Provide Funding?

    The company currently has not raised a fund or put together a dedicated fund.. This is a future goal. At this time unbank.ventures serves as a connector to accelerators, corporate partners and investors.

    What Stage Should My Company Be At?

    unbnank.ventures works with early stage companies that are either at the pre-seed or seed stage. Your company will need to have a MVP or working prototype to be considered for this program. To make the most of this program your goal should be to get into an accelerator, corporate partnership or early stage investment.
